PhD Candidate in Political Science
University of California, Davis

Welcome! I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Political Science at the University of California, Davis. My research focuses on parties, elections, and representation, primarily in advanced industrial democracies. I am particularly focused on how parties as institutions have their behavior shaped by both internal characteristics, such as ties to civil society groups or the ideological beliefs of their politicians, and external characteristics such as the dilemmas of multiparty competition or campaign finance laws, and how these aspects affect representation. I also have current ongoing work involving representation in the World Health Assembly and US house elections. The latest copy of my CV can be found here.
